My name is Jess and I am an experience designer. I have been working in the tech startup world in New York for six years (and counting!). I am into researching, designing, prototyping, and developing both software and real world experiences to drive human behavior. I like working with data, research, and systems to solve complex problems.
Recently attended the Recurse Center where I improved my engineering skills and became a better programmer. I also participated in Delta.nyc, where I helped develop brand strategy for the Foundation for New York’s Strongest.
Before that I graduated from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch NYU where we used human centered design, research, and testing to explore the limits of the recently possible.
Less recently I was on the education team at MongoDB. I managed training operations, I also created personas for the MongoDB University platform, designed an updated user flow for process automation, and conducted user testing.
A while ago, I worked as the community manager at Turntable.fm. While there I advocated for the user and community in product meetings, developed the company voice, and designed the rules that governed the community.
